Meet Our Staff
Thom Garber, DVM
Though he was born in Michigan, Dr. Garber was raised and went to school in Cleburne, TX. While in high school he worked for Dr. Jon Perkins who owned the Animal Medical Clinic. After graduating from Cleburne High School he got both his Bachelor’s and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. Out of school, Dr. Garber worked at the Farrell Animal Hospital in Arlington Texas. He then had the opportunity to buy the clinic in Cleburne and has been practicing there since 1988.
He limits his practice to dogs and cats but Dr. Garber loves all animals. Whether he is there in person or making a donation, Dr. Garber is involved with Dachshund Days at the Hulen Park in Cleburne every year.
Donna Trussell
Donna has worked for Dr. Garber since 1998. She has a Rat Terrier, Lucy and a cat named Kitty.
Wendi Harmon Mikulec
Wendi has worked for Dr. Garber since 2012. She absolutely loves her job and helping animals. She was born and raised in Cleburne and graduated from Cleburne High School. Wesley, her husband of 22 years, and their 2 children have 2 dogs, Sadie, a Blue Tick Coon Hound and Snoopy, a Rat Terrier, 2 cats, Savanah and LuLus, and quite a few Bob White Quail. She loves spending time with her family in her spare time.
Bailey Waits
Bailey has only been with the Animal Medical Clinic family since July 2014 but really enjoys her job so far. She is married and they have 2 children. She graduated from Joshua High School. In her spare time she enjoys being with her friends and family.
